Federation Square Book Market October 10th
Dingoes in Federation Square!
Palmer Higgs extended their usual monthly stall at the Fed Square Book Market to include book signings for the new book, poisonous2pets by Nicole OíKane and The White Dingo by Jack Elstone.

As it was World Animal Week from 4th-10th October, we kept with the animal theme and were joined by three beautiful dingoes and their handlers from the Dingo Discovery Centre at Melton, just outside of Melbourne. Both Nicole and Jack were donating money from their books to the Dingo Discovery Centre and the World Society for Protection to Animals as a part of the World Animal Week fundraiser.

Unfortunately Jack couldnít be with us as he is undergoing medical treatment but author Nicole OíKane was with us from the Gold Coast. Nicole had a busy morning chatting to Tracy Bartram at the ABC 774 studios about her new book, poisonous2pets, then headed to a book signing at Pets & the City in Albert Park before coming to the Book Market at Federation Square.

The friendly dingoes kept many people entertained and drew good crowds including several of the staff from Fed Square and a passing 3AW presenter, David Mann (also known as the Mann About Town!). The dingoes were very calm and lovely to spend time with and it was obvious that the public enjoyed learning about them.
