December 2011

I love my eBook reader for its ease of use and for the fact that I can take my personal library with me wherever I go.

Applications are invited from emerging, developing and established Children’s Picture Book illustrators for grants to assist with the creation of a new picture book.

For Freedom’s Cause was launched by Dr. Coral Brown at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Richmond, Victoria on Thursday 15th December.

Are you a member of the Australian Society of Authors (ASA)? If you’re nodding, good on you. If you’re asking “What is the Australian Society of Authors?” let me enlighten you.

A wonderful evening at the Wheeler Centre to celebrate the launch of Writers Victoria and the new 2012 program (during which I'm doing a workshop on Self-Publishing - more about that in my next blog). Not a member? Definitely time to join

Here is a quick video from last night as the celebrations and launch began with Roderick Poole (Director of Writers Victoria) kicking off proceedings. Not a great quality video I'm afraid but still fun!

It was lovely to be invited back to the NSW Writers’ Centre to present on How to Market Your Self-published Book as a part of the Everything You Need to Know About Publishing seminar.

The course, held over two days is a bit of a boot camp in some ways, with prospective and experienced authors leaving with heads swirling with ideas and suggestions.
